Metanoya's name is inspired from the Greek word "metanoia," which signifies transformation in a person's life. An alternate definition, but in keeping
with the concept of transformation, metanoia means to "turn and go in a new direction." Following her own lead to change course, Lisa Hockman opened Metanoya on October 2, 2000.
This began a new season in her life and provided a wonderful opportunity for Lisa to blend her love for food and
community.
Janet Jones purchased Metanoya on May 1, 2005, and has added her own touch to the
menu by including delicious soups and salads.
